The Tesla electric truck was first announced in 2019, but its actual production date has been delayed.Cybertruck, earlier announced that it has completed the assembly of its first car at its Giga Texas super factory in Austin, Texas.
When Tesla announced its first quarter financial report for fiscal year 2023, it said that its electric pickup truck CybertruckIt will enter mass production in the second half of this year, and the announcement of the first assembled vehicle seems to indicate that this electric truck is finally entering the mass production stage.
However, as Tesla CEO Elon Musk previously stated, Cybertruck may only be available at a small production capacity in the second half of this year, which means that the number of vehicles that can actually be delivered by the end of this year will not be large, and it is expected to have to wait until 2024 to enter the larger-scale production stage.
The reason why Cybertruck's mass production time has been repeatedly delayed is that the steel plates used for its special appearance are actually difficult to make, and the internal assembly process also involves complex processes. In addition, the new 4680 battery originally expected to be used and the delayed delivery have delayed the actual mass production time of Cybertruck.
In 2021, Tesla originally planned to price the single-motor version of Cybertruck at US$39900, and the three-motor design version at US$70000. Due to factors such as supply chain shortages and market exchange rate changes, Tesla may readjust the actual market price of Cybertruck.
