Taiwan's Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC)Wei CeThe "shopping" function of the cross-institutional shared electronic payment platform, which allows people to use a single electronic payment service to correspond to different electronic payment transaction methods, will be launched in the third quarter of this year. At that time, it will be able to provide services to electronic payment operators including Orange Branch, Jiekou Payment, Quanzhifu, EasyCard, Quanying Payment, Yikatong, Aijin Card, Oufubao, and Simple Mobile Payment.
The cross-institutional shared electronic payment platform is operated by Financial Information Co., Ltd. Its added "shopping" function was approved for launch in late December 2021, and the electronic payment service deduction and consumption function was added in August 12. This time, it was approved by the Financial Supervisory Commission to link multiple electronic payment service providers to provide services in the third quarter of this year, and different electronic payment deduction and consumption functions can be corresponded through a single QR Code.
By using a single QR code to deduct payments, users no longer need to register for multiple electronic payment services simultaneously. They can use electronic payment services based on their personal habits and preferences. This also speeds up the efficiency of inter-channel payment deductions and increases the use of electronic payments.
In this cooperation, special projects involving electronic payment services can also be connected, so people do not have to worry about not being able to use special offers when using specific electronic payment services for consumption.
However, the electronic payment companies that have currently joined the cooperation only include Orange Payment, Jiekou Payment, Quanzhifu, EasyCard, Quanying Payment, Yikatong, Aijin Card, Oufubao, and Simple Mobile Payment. Other electronic payment services that also operate by QR Code scanning, such as LINE Pay, are not yet included.
