As market rumors have it, Apple announced the second-generation AirPods Pro at this fall's conference, which features a new H2 chip to enhance the active noise reduction effect and further improve spatial audio performance.
Thanks to the H2 chip design, Apple says the second-generation AirPods Pro can handle twice as much noise. It also adds an active noise cancellation mode called "Adaptive Transparency," which automatically eliminates noise in transparency mode. It also supports spatial audio and personalized spatial audio listening settings.
With active noise cancellation turned on, the second-generation AirPods Pro headphones can be used for about 6 hours when fully charged, and for about 30 hours when paired with the charging case. In addition to Lightning connection and Qi wireless charging, this time, a new charging mode has been added that allows the Apple Watch magnetic charger to replenish power.
Other designs include adding a sliding gesture to the handle of the new earphones to operate the playback function. The "Find" app can also be used to make a single earphone produce sound. The charging box itself has a speaker hole design that can produce sound, and a new strap hole is added to install accessories such as pendant ropes. As for the earbuds provided this time, an additional XS size is added.
The second-generation AirPods Pro will be sold at a price of US$249 and is expected to be officially launched on September 9. The price in Taiwan is NT$23.
