In June this year, Microsoft announced a partnership with ASUS to createROG Xbox Ally Series Game ConsolesAfter confirming that it will be officially launched on October 16, ASUS also announced earlier that it will open pre-orders for this series of game consoles from now on. The standard version of ROG Xbox Ally will be sold at NT$21999, and the performance version of ROG Xbox Ally X has a suggested retail price of NT$29999.
Created in collaboration with Microsoft Xbox, the ROG Xbox Ally series not only inherits the high-performance design of the previous Ally series, but also fully integrates the Xbox ecosystem, bringing the full-screen Xbox UI to the handheld platform. Players can launch games with one click without tedious operation, and can quickly access the Game Bar function. The flexible design is used with the Windows 11 operating system, allowing players to play games included in the Xbox Game Pass service, as well as games from platforms such as Steam and Ubisoft on the handheld console.
The ROG Xbox Ally is available in all-white and features an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, a 512GB SSD, 16GB of RAM, and a 60Wh battery. The ROG Xbox Ally X, on the other hand, comes in classic black and features an AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor, a 1TB SSD, 24GB of RAM, and an 80Wh battery, enabling higher performance and extended battery life.
In terms of the screen, the ROG Xbox Ally series are equipped with a Full HD high-definition display panel, supporting 500 nits of brightness, 120Hz screen refresh rate and FreeSync Premium anti-tearing technology, ensuring clear and smooth image performance whether it is action games or competitive battles.
In terms of design, the ROG Xbox Ally series continues the ergonomic advantages of ASUS gaming hardware. The body grip adopts the same ergonomic curve as the Xbox controller, which feels natural and stable. In addition, the vibration trigger design exclusively developed by ROG can provide precise and regionalized vibration feedback for different gaming scenarios, bringing a more realistic sense of presence.
With the official launch of pre-orders for the ROG Xbox Ally series in Taiwan, ASUS is also offering early bird and trade-in discounts, further fueling the hot handheld market. From now until the end of October, purchase a ROG Xbox Ally series console and complete online registration to receive a gift package valued at NT$3389, including a 20000mAh 65W power bank and a ROG Xbox Ally storage case.
