Xiaomi Taiwan officially announced today (January 16th) the launch of the new Redmi Note 15 series, which includes four models. Continuing the product positioning of the past "Little King Kong", the high-end Pro+ and Pro versions are equipped with the largest silicon-carbon negative electrode battery in the series' history. They also emphasize passing the SGS high-strength protection gold standard certification and IP68 dust and water resistance specifications, attempting to set a new benchmark for "durability" and "all-rounder" in the highly competitive mid-to-high-end market.
Redmi Note 15 Pro+ / Pro: 200MP camera, silicon-carbon anode battery, and IP68 protection.
As the flagship models in the series, the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G and Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G represent a significant leap forward in specifications.
In terms of imaging, both Pro models feature a 2-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor, and support 2x and 4x optical-grade lossless zoom through AI Engine processing. However, there are significant differences in performance:
• Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G:It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor and introduces an ice-cooled circulating cooling system for the first time.
• Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G:It uses the MediaTek Dimensity 7400-Ultra processor.
Thanks to silicon-carbon anode battery technology, the Pro+ model has a 6500mAh battery (supporting 100W fast charging), while the Pro model is equipped with a 6580mAh battery. Both models support reverse fast charging, completely eliminating battery anxiety.
In addition, both models have an IP68 dust and water resistance rating and have passed the German TÜV SUD five-star long-lasting waterproof certification and SGS whole-machine drop test. The screen surface is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 reinforced glass, emphasizing the practicality of "drop resistance and water resistance".
Localized features for Taiwan: The Pro+ model is the first to feature the iPASS card function.
The top-of-the-line Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G is specially designed for the Taiwan market, integrating the iPASS virtual card function into Google Wallet for the first time. This allows users in Taiwan to complete transactions via NFC without unlocking the screen or opening the app when taking public transportation or making small payments at convenience stores, thus improving the convenience of daily use.
Entry-level and mid-range performance: Note 15 5G / 4G
For budget-conscious consumers, Xiaomi also launched the Redmi Note 15 5G and Redmi Note 15 (4G) at the same time.
• Redmi Note 15 5G:It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, a 1.08MP OIS camera, and a 6000mAh battery.
• Redmi Note 15:Powered by a MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra processor, it focuses on audio-visual entertainment and AI imaging functions.
Bonus items: noise-canceling headphones, magnetic power bank, and smart glasses.
In addition to smartphones, Xiaomi also launched several new AIoT products today:
• Redmi Buds 8 Lite:It supports 42dB hybrid active noise cancellation and AI call noise cancellation, has a single-charge battery life of 8 hours, and is priced at NT$519.
• Xiaomi Slim Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W:The device is only 6mm thin, supports 15W wireless and 22.5W wired charging, and is priced at NT$1299.
