Ahead of the start of 2026, realme has confirmed that it will launch its new mid-range flagship smartphone, the realme 16 Pro series, in the Indian market on January 6th. As the launch date approaches, the company is gradually releasing key specifications, including an impressive 7000mAh battery and IP69 dust and water resistance.
Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Max processor, battery life is its biggest highlight.
According to official teaser information, the standard version of the realme 16 Pro will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Max 5G processor, paired with an AirFlow VC liquid cooling system, which is said to achieve an AnTuTu score of over 97 points, achieving a good balance between performance and power consumption.
But the most eye-catching feature is the battery capacity. The realme 16 Pro packs a massive 7000mAh battery, which is quite rare among models in the same class and is expected to deliver long battery life.
On the other hand, the realme 16 Pro+ is expected to use an enhanced version of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, thereby supporting higher computing performance.
Screen and protection are all upgraded
In terms of display, the new device will be equipped with a 1.5K resolution AMOLED screen, supporting a gaming-grade 144Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of an impressive 6500 nits, ensuring clear visibility even in strong outdoor light. The device's protective capabilities have also been upgraded, supporting the highest level of IP69 dust and water resistance, meaning it can withstand the impact of high-temperature, high-pressure water jets.
In terms of color options, the realme 16 Pro will offer three choices: Master Gold, Pebble Gray, and Orchid Purple.
A 2-megapixel main camera is standard, while the Pro+ model features a periscope telephoto lens exclusively.
Imaging systems have always been a strong point of the realme digital series, and the newly launched realme 16 Pro and the higher-end realme 16 Pro+ both come standard with a 2-megapixel main camera wide-angle lens. To differentiate the products, the realme 16 Pro+ will additionally feature a periscope telephoto lens supporting 3.5x optical zoom to meet the needs of long-distance shooting.
In terms of software, the new phone will come pre-installed with realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 and will deeply integrate Google Gemini AI technology, providing generative AI functions such as AI Recording and AI Framing Master.
