As per past practice, Samsung will also showcase the products of its C-Lab startup team during CES 2024 this year and announce that it has won 23 CES 2024 Innovation Awards. It also stated that since the C-Lab startup program was launched in 2012, it has incubated more than 870 startup teams and project developments.
The 2024 C-Lab startup team development projects expected to be exhibited during CES 15 set a record for the most in history. At the same time, Samsung also hopes to promote innovation by promoting internal entrepreneurship and external cooperation, thereby strengthening the scale of its product and technology application development.
Samsung has incubated over 870 startup teams and projects to date, including 397 internally and 475 incubated through external collaborations. Furthermore, of the 537 companies successfully incubated through the C-Lab program that have grown into independent ventures, 62 originated internally and 475 through collaborations with external partners. These companies have collectively raised over US$10 billion in investment.
The C-Lab's innovative projects showcased this time include RebuilderAI, an artificial intelligence solution that can quickly create 3D content using mobile phones; Ghost Pass, a decentralized remote biometric authentication solution; DEEPX, an artificial intelligence semiconductor design solution combined with NPU computing design; and Style Bot, a fashion recommendation service based on users' own clothing data.
Others include Vsion, a smart window product with adjustable transparency; DolbomDream, a smart inflatable jacket that can monitor the health of the elderly; 60Hertz, an AI-driven virtual power plant (VPP) solution; Wrtn Technologies, which provides automatically generated AI portal services; and NdotLight, a web-based collaborative 3D design platform.
The C-Lab startup showcase also includes two Samsung-inspired products: ID.EARS, a healthcare platform that analyzes brainwaves captured by in-ear headphones, and DumboCam, a pet training platform leveraging visual AI. Previously spun-off Samsung startups, including Yellosis, a smart toilet and AI healthcare solution based on liquid waste measurement; Becon, which uses AI to manage hair loss; and Goose Labs, which offers immersive home workouts using real-time motion-sensing avatars, will also be showcased at CES 2024.
