Published last monthOnePlus 15 flagship phoneFollowing that, OnePlus announced the launch of the more affordable "light flagship" sibling phone, the OnePlus 15R.
Appearance and Screen: The mint green color is really appealing, and the screen is larger and brighter.
The OnePlus 15R retains the design of the OnePlus 15 with little change in overall appearance, but adds a more eye-catching Mint Breeze color option.
In terms of screen, the OnePlus 15R uses a 6.83-inch OLED display panel, slightly larger than the OnePlus 15, and also supports a peak brightness of up to 1800 nits and a 165Hz refresh rate. In addition, the water resistance rating has also been upgraded to IP69K, meaning it can withstand the impact of high-temperature and high-pressure water jets.
Performance and power: Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, ridiculously large battery
The OnePlus 15R is the first phone in the North American market to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. Although its performance is slightly lower than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite in the OnePlus 15, it can still run popular games such as Genshin Impact and Wild Rift smoothly.
The OnePlus 15R packs a massive 7400mAh battery, and with 55W SUPERVOOC fast charging, it can fully charge the phone in less than an hour.
The camera is relatively simple.
Compared to the OnePlus 15, the OnePlus 15R removes one telephoto lens, leaving only a 5000-megapixel wide-angle lens and an 800-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and the image sensor seems to be the same as last year's old specification.
Although the front camera has been upgraded to 3200 megapixels and autofocus has been added, the main camera may still be lacking in detail performance in complex lighting or shadow conditions.
Listing Information
In terms of suggested retail price, the OnePlus 15R will be sold starting at £629, and will be available in Charcoal Black and Mint Breeze colors, with 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of storage.
