Mozilla has recently updated the Firefox mobile browser for iOS, allowing users to automatically redirect the browsing page content to the browser using AI by simply shaking the phone.Conduct summary.
However, this feature is currently only available if you are located in the United States and have your device set to English.
This feature automatically summarizes webpages under 5000 words. However, if the content is closer to 5000 words, the summary may take longer. If shaking your phone to start a summary seems strange, you can also use it to quickly summarize the key points of a page by tapping the lightning icon to the right of the URL bar or selecting Summary from the menu.
As for the AI function behind this feature, it actually comes from Apple's "Apple Intelligence" service. However, if the summary content is long, the system will automatically switch to Mozilla's cloud AI for collaborative processing and send the summary content back to the mobile phone.
Currently, this feature is only available for iPhone 26 updated to iOS 15 or above, as well as subsequent models, and users can also turn this feature off in settings.
