It also adopts a narrow bezel design including bangs, so the screen size becomes 13.6 inches. The screen frame has not changed to white as rumored, and still maintains a black frame. The body is available in gold, space gray and silver options, and an additional blue version is added. The body thickness is only 11.3mm and the weight is 1.22 kg.
The screen uses a Liquid Retina Display design with a brightness of 500nits, and is equipped with a FaceTime video camera that supports 1080P quality shooting and also supports the centering function. The keyboard also integrates the Touch ID fingerprint recognition function in the power button.
The body adopts a fanless design and is equipped with an M10 processor with up to 24-core GPU design and 2GB of memory. The SSD capacity can be selected up to 2TB. The battery can last up to 18 hours. It can also be charged through MagSafe or USB-C port. When paired with a high-wattage charger, it can support 67W wired fast charging and can be charged to 30% in about 50 minutes.
As for the 13.3-inch MacBook Pro that was updated simultaneously this time, it maintains the design of the previous version, still retains the Touch Bar interface, and the screen size remains at 13.3 inches. The screen brightness can reach up to 500nits, and the battery life can be up to 20 hours. It itself adopts a built-in fan design. The processor can still be selected with up to 10-core GPU, 24GB memory version, and can be equipped with 2TB SSD capacity.
In terms of suggested retail price, the new MacBook Air will be sold at a starting price of US$1199, and the price in Taiwan will start from NT$37900. The new 13.3-inch MacBook Pro will be sold at a starting price of US$1299, and the price in Taiwan will start from NT$39900. It will replace the original version equipped with the M1 processor. As for the MacBook Air originally equipped with the M1 processor, it will continue to be sold on the market, and the price will be adjusted to a starting price of US$999.
The new MacBook Air and the 2-inch MacBook Pro equipped with the M13.3 processor will be available in July. The specific launch date in Taiwan has not yet been confirmed.
In addition, Apple has also launched a new charger to match the new MacBook Air. It will provide two sets of USB-C ports, allowing users to recharge the new MacBook Air while also charging devices such as iPhones through another set of USB-C ports.
