AsPrevious previewApple officially announced the launch of a new MacBook Air equipped with an M4 processor. It also has 13-inch and 15-inch screen specifications, and has a battery life of up to 18 hours. It further supports external displays with two sets of 2K resolution specifications.
In terms of appearance, the new MacBook Air equipped with the M4 processor has basically no obvious changes. It is available in midnight, starlight, silver, and the newly added sky blue. It can still be charged through the MacSafe magnetic charging cable or directly charged via the USB-C port.
The new MacBook Air also supports the "Apple Intelligence" service. The memory starts at 16GB and an additional 24GB capacity specification is available, with an optional maximum of 32GB capacity. The storage capacity starts at 512GB and can be selected up to 2TB capacity.
The video camera also uses 1200 million pixels and supports "centering the subject" shooting mode. As for the external display, up to two 2K resolution monitors can be connected simultaneously.
At the same time, after the processor was upgraded to the M4 specification, Apple boasted that the new MacBook Air was smoother and more efficient when running "Civilization VII". At the same time, its Microsoft Excel spreadsheet computing performance was 8 times higher than that of the MacBook Air equipped with Intel processor, and it was 1 times faster than the 13-inch MacBook Air equipped with M2 processor. It can even achieve high execution efficiency in Adobe's Photoshop and can smoothly run the "Apple Intelligence" service.
The new MacBook Air will be available starting today through Apple's official website and Apple Stores in 28 countries and regions, including the United States, and will be released in Taiwan at a later date. The suggested retail price for the new 13-inch MacBook Air starts at US$999, while the 15-inch version starts at US$1199. In Taiwan, the starting prices are NT$34900 and NT$41900, respectively. The specific release date in Taiwan has not yet been confirmed.
