Shazam, the music recognition service that Apple announced its acquisition in 2017, earlier announced the launch of a new "Concerts" feature that allows users to search for popular music events near their location.
The new "Concerts" feature will allow users to quickly find concert events in nearby areas through the Shazam service, and can filter by artist, date, location, and other criteria. It can also set reminders for upcoming concert events and view ticket price information.
The new feature can also unlock exclusive content for specific artist concerts, such as new watch faces, background images, behind-the-scenes videos, tour photos, and performance playlists. Users can also use the new feature to save information about past concerts for easy review in the future.
In the new iOS 17, users can also search for artists through the Spotlight feature and simultaneously find their upcoming concerts, as well as confirm concert tickets and venue information. Meanwhile, in Apple Maps, users can browse upcoming concert venues directly in the Maps app through a series of expertly curated Apple Music guides.
In addition, the playlists on Apple Music will also include a selection of major tour concerts, allowing music fans to continue listening to the performances, gain in-depth behind-the-scenes footage of the performances, and browse the regions where artists will hold concerts upcoming through the Shazam concert discovery function.
In addition to providing the new "Concert" function on the iOS platform, the Android platform version will also be available in the future.
