In addition to claiming that Apple has already invested in developmentApple Watch with camera functionBloomberg News reporter Mark Gurman even believes that Apple’s iPhone 17 series, which is expected to be launched this fall, will include a ProMotion display with a higher refresh rate and faster response speed.
Apple first added ProMotion screen display technology to the iPad Pro in 2017, and subsequently added the same design to the iPhone 2021 Pro launched in 13, allowing specific areas of the screen to be displayed at a faster speed without having to speed up the display speed of the entire screen presentation range. It can even reduce the display refresh rate to 10Hz when displaying static content, thereby reducing overall battery power consumption.
There have been reports that Apple plans to add ProMotion screen display technology to more iPhone models. Therefore, it is expected that the iPhone 17 series to be launched this fall may include this technical specification, and the iPhone 17 series will be able to correspond to faster display refresh rates and shorter display response times, while also allowing the overall battery life of the iPhone 17 series to be longer.
However, it is not yet confirmed whether the iPhone 17 Air, which is expected to adopt a thinner body design, will also introduce ProMotion display technology.
If all iPhone 17 series models are equipped with ProMotion display technology, it is expected that all models will also have the Always On display function. In terms of other specifications, it is expected to be equipped with an A19 series processor. There are also rumors that the camera module may be redesigned to adopt a horizontal design similar to the Pixel series.
