After a lot of news was leaked in advance, Apple officially unveiled the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max with a brand new appearance design at the fall conference.

According to Apple, the iPhone 17 Pro series has abandoned its original titanium material and is instead made of hot-forged aluminum alloy, which is cut into a single piece. This is a significant departure from previous designs. In addition to the front display panel being protected by Ceramic Shield 2 tempered glass, the back of the body is also embedded with Ceramic Shield 2 tempered glass to improve scratch resistance and, combined with the new camera module design, provide higher recognition.

In terms of the body, the main differences between the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are in specifications such as size, screen resolution and battery life. The former uses a 6.3-inch screen, corresponding to 31 hours of continuous video playback time, while the latter maintains a 6.9-inch screen, with a continuous video playback time of up to 37 hours, and even extended to 39 hours when connected to the eSIM network. As for wired charging with a 40W charger, it can be charged to 20% in 50 minutes, and if wirelessly charged with MagSafe at 30W power, it can be charged to at least 30% in 50 minutes.
Both the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are available in blue, silver, and orange. The processors are both equipped with A19 Pro, and the system operation stability is maintained through the built-in VC cooling module. As for the storage capacity of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, an additional 2TB version has been added, but the iPhone 17 Pro still maintains a maximum capacity of 1TB.
In terms of the camera, due to the significant changes in the camera module of the iPhone 17 Pro series, all three sets of lenses correspond to 4800 million pixels. The telephoto lens natively supports 4x optical zoom, so it can achieve 8x lossless telephoto shooting in conjunction with the camera system. It also supports macro, 13mm, 24mm, 28mm, 35mm, 48mm, 100mm and 200mm shooting focal lengths. In addition to the previously supported Dolby Vision HDR, 4K120p, and ProRes Log, Apple has also added support for the Academy Color Encoding System ACES, ProRes RAW, and Genlock signal synchronization technology, allowing the iPhone 17 Pro series to be further used in professional film shooting.

The video camera has also been upgraded to support 1800 megapixels and adopts a 1:1 square sensor. It can shoot in vertical or horizontal orientation according to the user's shooting needs, and can also keep the center of the screen for individual or group selfies.
The iPhone 17 Pro series is expected to be available for pre-order from now on and will also be available on September 9th. The suggested retail price starts from US$19 and the NT$ price starts from NT$1099. The suggested retail price of the iPhone 39900 Pro Max starts from US$17 and the NT$ price starts from NT$1199.
Apple also announced the launch of the new TechWoven protective case, emphasizing that it is made in a more environmentally friendly way. It also provides transparent protective cases, silicone protective cases, and lanyard accessories.
