Today (February 4th), iQOO officially launched its flagship phone, the iQOO 15 Ultra, touted as the "industry's first Ultra-performing phone." This phone not only features the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor but also incorporates a physical cooling fan within its body, while simultaneously retaining IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, attempting to achieve a perfect balance between heavy gaming and everyday use.
Concealed airflow design, combining fan functionality with waterproofing.
The biggest engineering breakthrough of the iQOO 15 Ultra lies in its heat dissipation system. In order to suppress the heat generated by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, a large 17 × 17 × 4mm fan is built into the body, along with a VC heat dissipation plate with an area of 8000mm².
Most notably, it features a "hidden air duct" design: the air intake is cleverly hidden below the camera module, while the air outlet is located on the opposite side of the mid-frame. This design not only makes the appearance less "aggressive" than traditional gaming phones, but more importantly, it doesn't sacrifice the phone's airtightness, still supporting IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance ratings.
Dedicated shoulder buttons + 7400mAh large battery, enjoy smooth gameplay without anxiety.
As a flagship gaming phone, excellent handling is naturally a key focus. The iQOO 15 Ultra features dedicated pressure-sensitive shoulder buttons on its mid-frame, supporting a 600Hz sampling rate and seamless mapping for multiple FPS games. The screen is a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 OLED display panel with 2K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, boasting a peak brightness of 8000 nits.
To support extended gaming sessions, the new phone features an impressive 7400mAh high-capacity battery and supports 100W wired and 55W wireless fast charging. Furthermore, catering to the needs of streamers or those who spend long hours gaming, it incorporates a "direct drive power supply" function, allowing for charging while playing without overheating.
Uncompromising image quality, including a 3x periscope telephoto lens.
Although it emphasizes performance, the imaging specifications can't be too bad for an Ultra phone. The iQOO 15 Ultra has three 5000-megapixel rear cameras. The main camera's wide-angle lens uses a 1/1.56-inch sensor and is equipped with a 3x periscope telephoto lens. It also features CIPA 4.5 level image stabilization, breaking the stereotype that "gaming phones can only scan QR codes."
Launch Information: The iQOO 15 Ultra is available in black and white, with the top-of-the-line version offering 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The initial launch price in the Chinese market starts at RMB 5499 (approximately NT$24500), and pre-orders are open today. It is not yet confirmed whether it will be introduced to the Taiwan market, but theoretically, it began being imported through distributors at the end of last year.Article 15It is expected that this will be followed.
