Following the launch of the entry-level Gogoro EZZY, positioned as a green-brand vehicle, in June of this year, Gogoro today (6/9) announced the launch of the Gogoro EZZY 11, featuring a 5.5 kW motor, upgraded to a white-brand vehicle, and powered by dual batteries. The EZZY 500 also features software-defined smart parking assistance, along with many other convenient features found on Gogoro models, such as one-touch reverse assist, a low-effort towing mode, and cruise control to reduce wrist fatigue on long rides.

The name Gogoro EZZY 500 comes from the upgraded 5.5 kW motor specification, which is used to clearly differentiate it from the previously launched Gogoro EZZY, which was positioned as a green-branded powertrain.

The Gogoro EZZY 500 is designed for everyday use, offering the longest seat in its class at 70cm. Its narrow front end and non-slip material enhance comfort for both passengers. The vehicle weighs just 102kg including its dual batteries and boasts a 32.5cm wide footwell, allowing for a 28-inch suitcase, perfect for commuting and weekend getaways.

Other designs include a standard front hook, front cup holder, spinning pedals and rear armrest. The functionality can also be expanded through accessories provided by Gogoro. The power output is more suitable for long-distance riding than Gogoro EZZY, and it can also meet most daily needs.

In terms of safety, the Gogoro EZZY 500 series comes standard with SBS front and rear dual-disc brakes, LED headlights and taillights, as well as built-in one-touch reverse assist and effort-saving towing mode, making it easy to maneuver through narrow alleys or parking spaces. A limited-time added cruise control function allows users to more easily handle long-distance riding and provide a certain degree of wrist relief.

However, like the Gogoro EZZY, the Gogoro EZZY 500 is also operated via a key, and the power mode has added smart and racing modes compared to the Gogoro EZZY. The original configuration is Maxxis MA-EV high-grip dual-function tires on the front and rear wheels.

The first introduction of intelligent parking assistance function
The Gogoro EZZY 500's first intelligent parking assist feature is software-defined. While waiting at a red light or on a slope, simply press and hold the brake and TRIP buttons on the right handlebar simultaneously. The system automatically activates the brakes, allowing you to relax your hands without having to hold the brake lever. The system automatically releases the brakes when you turn the accelerator.

Currently, this feature is only available as a free add-on for the Gogoro EZZY 500. In the future, it may be available as an add-on for other models that also support software-defined functionality. It is also expected that subsequent new models will also be equipped with this feature.
This function is designed for situations where the brakes need to be held firmly for a long time, such as on a slope, when waiting at a traffic light for a long time, or when parking. Software-defined methods are then used to generate reverse torque in the motor, enabling the vehicle to achieve a locking brake effect.
However, if the lock function is used in certain situations that exceed the limit, including on a slope with a steep slope or when the vehicle is loaded with too much weight, it may fail. Therefore, it is recommended to use this function under normal circumstances. Gogoro also recommends that this function is best used when riding alone.
Three colors are available, and the lowest price after subsidies is less than NT$4
The Gogoro EZZY 500 comes in three colors: Silver, Blue, and Titanium Red. Its matte metallic paint finish offers both quality and durability. Its suggested retail price before subsidies is NT$74980, and after deducting various government subsidies, the lowest price is less than NT$4.

To attract early bird buyers, Gogoro announced an additional NT$9 discount from now until September 21st. Test rides at participating stores nationwide will also include a chance to win round-trip tickets for two to Japan. Furthermore, by using the Taishin Gogoro Rewards co-branded card, linking it to Gogoro Wallet, and purchasing an extended warranty, you can earn up to 4000 Gogoro Smart Points, which can be used to offset battery costs, accessories, or maintenance.
