As in the movie "Top Gun: Lone Ranger", actor Val Kilmer, who suffers from throat cancer, uses artificial intelligence technology toSimulate normal speaking voiceJames Earl Jones, who dubbed the classic Star Wars character Darth Vader, has also agreed toArtificial intelligence dubbing, allowing Darth Vader to continue to interpret the character's courage with his original dubbing tone in more TV series in the future.
James Earl Jones, now 91 years old, has a voice that has changed somewhat in his later dubbing compared to the voice of Darth Vader in the original trilogy due to aging. Therefore, the voice of Darth Vader in "Obi-Wan" which was recently released on Disney+ was actually simulated through artificial intelligence technology of the Ukrainian startup Respeecher, and is presented in the same voice as James Earl Jones' Darth Vader in the original trilogy.
James Earl Jones has also recently signed an agreement that artificial intelligence will take over his voice work as the classic "Star Wars" character Darth Vader in the future.
In addition to using AI to recreate Darth Vader's oppressive dialogue intonation, Respeecher also voiced the young Luke Skywalker in Disney+'s "The Mandalorian" and "The Book of Boba Fett." Respeecher used deep learning training to digitally recreate Luke Skywalker's voice using audio from Mark Hamill's original performances of Luke Skywalker, including broadcasts, interviews, and voiceovers.
Currently, more and more companies are using artificial intelligence technology to recreate deceased famous people and actors, and even combining it with digital portrait technology to allow these people and actors to be "resurrected" digitally. For example, Japan has previously used YAMAHA's "VOCALOID:AI" voice synthesis technology, combined with CG animation created by deep learning technology, to allow the famous enka singer "Showa Diva" Misora Hibari to appear digitally on the 2019 NHK Red and White Festival.
