While Microsoft's $690 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard appears to be nearing completion, the Federal Trade Commission has apparentlyHaven't given up on blocking the deal yet.
After the court rejected its application for a temporary injunction against Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard, the U.S. Federal Trade Commission did not suspend its lawsuit against Microsoft on the deal and plans to review the deal again.
But Microsoft doesn't seem worried about whether the FTC's move will affect the deal.
Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard has alreadyGenerally agreed by the EU, and the UK Competition and Markets Authority also roughly agreed to Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard after Microsoft resold the cloud streaming platform distribution rights of Activision Blizzard games to Ubisoft. Even though the US Federal Trade Commission still has opinions on Microsoft's transaction, it seems difficult to prevent Microsoft from completing the transaction.
