This customized processor is mainly used in NAVER's large-scale artificial intelligence model HyperCLOVA X, and accelerates artificial intelligence inference and learning efficiency, and can perform large-scale artificial intelligence calculations with lower energy consumption.
In addition to using customized processors to reduce energy consumption during AI operations, this collaboration also utilizes low-power LPDDR memory modules with more than twice the data transmission efficiency, allowing overall operations to achieve the same computing performance with lower power consumption.
Samsung and NAVER will be at the end of 2022cooperate, through Samsung's process technology and memory technology, and combined with solutions such as CXL, combined with NAVER's software technology, algorithms and models to promote artificial intelligence computing performance.
In recent announcements, Samsung emphasized its continued commitment to HBM memory design and announced the industry's first 2.0GB memory module supporting the CXL 2.0 (Compute Express Link 128) standard, enabling higher computing efficiency and meeting the demands of supercomputing.
