As many artificial intelligence companies are beginning to expand from software computing to hardware, Aravind Srinivas, founder and CEO of artificial intelligence startup Perplexity.ai, posted earlier on his personal "X" page that he plans to create a simple computing device priced at less than $50 that can answer user questions through voice interaction.

Aravind Srinivas promised that if the post received more than 5000 likes, he would build and launch the device. However, Aravind Srinivas did not disclose the specific details of the device.

Prior to this, the portable assistant device launched by the new entrepreneur RabbitRabbit R1The large-scale natural language model technology it uses is derived from Perplexity.ai's technology, and it can directly learn how to operate various third-party application services through artificial intelligence, allowing Rabbit R1 to directly assist users in completing related operations.

Perplexity.ai revealed that it will invest in building hardware, but whether the design is similar to Rabbit R1 cannot be confirmed at the moment.

Alright. LFG! https://t.co/hMw3eugb0l

In addition to Perplexity.ai, OpenAI has also recently confirmed that it is collaborating with former Apple design chief Jony Ive to createA hardware device, but it has not yet been made public. Midjourney also announced the establishment of a hardware team in August this year, which may combine its own artificial intelligence technology to create hardware products. Google and Apple also use their artificial intelligence forHardware products, allowing users to operate various services more conveniently.

However, not all hardware devices that incorporate artificial intelligence technology are successful. Humane, co-founded by former Apple interface designer Imran Chaudhri and his wife Bethany Bongiorno, launchedAi Pin, a screenless artificial intelligence portable deviceBecause it is difficult to use and there have been reports of accidental fires and burns in the device itself, the market is not optimistic about Humane's future development, and there are even rumors of it being sold.
