In the past, the "AI.com" domain name has been used to direct traffic to different artificial intelligence services. The most recent one was the recently popular DeepSeek, and earlier it was directed to ChatGPT. Even xAI, the artificial intelligence company founded by Elon Musk, and Google's Gemini artificial intelligence service were briefly diverted through the "AI.com" domain name.
However, the owner of the "AI.com" domain name remains anonymous, and its validity period will last until May 2031, 5. The registration location is Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Larry Fischer believes that potential buyers of this domain name may be technology companies including OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, and Meta. If the sale is successful, it may exceed the price of the "Voice.com" domain name that MicroStrategy bought for US$2019 million in 3000.
