After proposing solutions to Apple's blocking of Android devices from accessing iMessage content through Beeper Mini App, Beeper earlier statedNo more cat-and-mouse games with Apple.
Beeper implies that if the current solution is restricted by Apple again, there will be no further response. Android devices may not be able to access iMessage content through third-party channels, or they may have to wait for Apple to join the RCS messaging system in 2024 as agreed.
OnCurrent proposed methodsIn the current version of the Beeper Mini service, users must install the Beeper Cloud Mac app on their Mac devices and complete access verification through this Mac device to ensure reliable access to the Beeper Mini service. Users must re-verify access permissions at regular intervals, requiring an additional Mac device to use the Beeper Mini service. This is obviously more troublesome than before and may cause Beeper Mini to lose a significant number of users.
The new version update adds the ability to pair current Android devices with Macs and older iPhones, and can complete access permission verification more quickly through the Beeper Cloud Mac App, or complete verification through a Mac model owned by someone else, making it easier for users without a Mac to access iMessage content through its service.
In addition, Beeper also provides tools to jailbreak older iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, iPhone 8 or iPhone X, thereby completing iMessage service access authorization and allowing Android devices installed with Beeper Mini to use iMessage content smoothly. However, this approach will obviously be more difficult for many users.
If Apple restricts the proposed method, Beeper will abandon Beeper Mini updates and focus on developing other chat applications, aiming to launch a better product in 2024. Beeper also announced that it has open-sourced the Beeper Mini source code, making it available to developers interested in building applications.
