Updates for user privacy and security, GoogleAnnounceStarting from the end of July, a dark web activity reporting function will be added to all account users, making it easier for users to understand whether their personal account privacy is at risk of being leaked.
The Dark Web Report feature was previously available only to Google One subscribers. It primarily monitored activity on services not directly accessible from the regular internet and confirmed whether a user's private information was being exposed or circulated on the Dark Web. With this update, it is now available to all Google Account users, allowing them to verify whether their private information has been exposed on the Dark Web.
After logging into your personal Google account, you can use the "Dark Web Report" item in "Security" to confirm whether your personal privacy is being circulated through dark web channels. Once the system finds the user's personal privacy content on the dark web, it will provide relevant guidance and help the user take corresponding measures.
Currently, the dark web reporting function has been launched in 46 countries and regions around the world, allowing users to check personal information such as personal name, email, address, username, password, and even US Social Security number. It will be fully open to all Google account users in the future, thereby fulfilling the commitment to further protect user privacy and security.
