For the USB-C version of the second-generation AirPods Pro, which has been on the market recently, Apple has earlier started selling its charging storage case separately, so that consumers who accidentally lose it or cause it to be damaged do not have to buy the entire set of earphones again.
Previously, although Apple had already allowed the sale of the left and right earphones separately, it had not allowed the sale of their charging storage box separately. The main reason for allowing separate sales this time was that many people might lose the charging storage box or cause it to be damaged for some reason.
Unlike the previous Lightning design version, the charging case used in the USB-C version of the second-generation AirPods Pro not only has a USB-C connection interface, but also adopts IP2 rating for water and dust resistance. Other functions are the same as the Lightning version. It can also be located through Find or made to make a sound. In addition, a strap accessory can be installed through the strap hole, and wireless charging is achieved through MagSafe magnetic suction.
As for the USB-C version of the second-generation AirPods Pro charging case, it can also be used to store and charge the previously released AirPods Pro headphones, but the connection switching speed and whether it supports the low-latency fidelity compression technology used with Vision Pro will vary depending on the specifications of the built-in chip.
In terms of suggested retail price, the charging storage box corresponding to the USB-C version of the second-generation AirPods Pro will be sold at NT$2 in the Taiwanese market and US$2990 in the US market.
