Tesla CEO Elon Musk's tunnel company, The Boring Company, originally focused on providing transportation between the old and new pavilions of the LVCC Convention Center in Las Vegas, but it has now decided to extend the route to the Las Vegas Strip, which is home to many hotels, making it part of Las Vegas's public transportation system.
Earlier, it was announced that a new station connecting the new and old exhibition halls of the LVCC Convention Center would be opened. The Resorts World Hotel on the north side of the Las Vegas Strip became the first stop of the extended station.
After this, Boring Company's tunnel station service in Las Vegas will no longer be limited to round-trip shuttle services at a limited point. In the future, it will extend north and south from Resorts World. To the south, it will continue to connect to many famous hotels on the Las Vegas Strip and connect to Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas. To the north, it will connect to Fremont Street on the north side, thereby connecting to the main commercial areas of Las Vegas.
Although the number of tourists visiting Las Vegas has decreased significantly due to the pandemic, especially the CES event, which used to attract huge crowds at the beginning of each year, which has been greatly affected and led to a sharp drop in the number of exhibitors, this tunnel station service will obviously effectively alleviate the originally congested traffic after the physical exhibition activities are gradually resumed, and it will also make it easier for exhibitors and tourists to move between different areas.
