Bluetooth SIG announces completion of next-generation Bluetooth audio technologyLE AudioThe full set of technical specifications is expected to drive a new Bluetooth headset experience.
In the previous plan, LE Audio will operate in a low-power mode and enhance wireless audio performance. It will also improve the experience of using Bluetooth hearing aids and officially change the function originally known as audio sharing toAuracast Broadcast Audio (Auracast broadcast audio), thereby adding more ways for Bluetooth headsets to interact with others and the surrounding environment.
According to the Bluetooth SIG, certification has been provided for the first wave of Bluetooth application products that support LE Audio technology, and these products are expected to be available in the next few months.
In related testimony, Hiroyuki Nakamura, general manager of Sony's Mobile Products Group and Home Entertainment and Audio Products Division, revealed that Sony's participation in the LE Audio technical specification project means contributing relevant technical resources to the design of related specifications, including corresponding low-latency and more stable connection gaming content experience, while also increasing the convenience of using Bluetooth headphones through the Auracast audio broadcast feature.
Prior to this, Sony had contributed LDAC-related technologies and allowed more devices to use them, and it even became one of the standard technologies used in Android.
