Microsoft said this update is the biggest change to the keyboard in 30 years, and the newly added Copilot independent key will be located next to the Alt key to the right of the space bar.
This change will apply to new laptop models launched this year, and is expected to be applied to various keyboard accessories in the future. Therefore, this year's new keyboard accessories corresponding to the Windows 11 operating system will add independently configured Copilot dedicated buttons.
Microsoft explains that the Copilot button only corresponds to quickly calling the Copilot service and does not yet provide the function of combining it with other buttons. When used in older versions of Windows operating systems, it will trigger the launch of the Windows Search function.
Laptops with the new keyboard design will begin to enter the market this spring, and keyboard accessories are expected to be available soon.
