Volkswagen Business Travel celebrates its 75th anniversary and officially unveiled the all-new Caravelle in Taiwan today (October 2). Positioned as a "classic German premium business traveler," this flagship model not only won the 2025 Red Dot Design Award but is also the only vehicle in its class to offer a 4MOTION all-wheel drive system.
Inheriting 75 years of classics, redefining top-tier business travel
Since the debut of the first-generation T-Series Transporter in 1950, Volkswagen Business Travel has steadily established its image as a "new benchmark for premium business travel" with its German-made craftsmanship and versatile features. The Caravelle series, launched in Taiwan over 20 years ago, has been a favorite among rental car professionals, five-star hotels, and high-end buyers. It is also widely used for business receptions, tourism, logistics, and even family travel. This update, after a five-year hiatus, completes Volkswagen Business Travel Taiwan's three product lines: the Multivan, ID. Buzz, and the Caravelle.
New generation design, won the Red Dot Design Award
The all-new Caravelle inherits the styling of the Model T family, combining practical aesthetics with intelligent technology through streamlined proportions and the signature Bulli Line lines. The front of the vehicle features the latest family design language, complemented by LED lighting throughout, ensuring both immediate recognition and driving safety. Following its debut at the 2024 IAA Motor Show in Germany, the car also won a Red Dot Design Award this year, becoming a representative example of the Transporter/Caravelle series's blend of aesthetics and functionality.
Jason Statham serves as brand ambassador and is the official car for the Golden Bell Awards
Fox Business Hotel has appointed international film star Jason Statham as its global brand ambassador, evoking his professional and reliable image from the "The Transporter" film series and further strengthening the Caravelle's memorable character. Furthermore, the all-new Caravelle will serve as the official vehicle for the 60th Golden Bell Awards in Taiwan, providing guests with a comfortable and symbolic travel experience.
Comprehensive upgrade of power and space
The All-New Caravelle is equipped with a 2.0-liter TDI turbocharged diesel engine, available in two output specifications: 150 PS and 170 PS. Both are paired with an 8-speed manual transmission and for the first time introduce the only 4MOTION four-wheel drive system in its class to enhance driving safety and terrain adaptability.
The long-wheelbase model boasts a length exceeding 5.45 meters, with a wheelbase and cabin length increased simultaneously, providing over three meters of spacious passenger space. The interior features a nine-passenger 3-3-3 seating configuration, with three individual seats in the second row featuring Easy Entry technology for convenient ingress and egress.
The cabin features a significant upgrade in digital technology, with a standard 12-inch digital instrument cluster, a 13-inch multimedia touchscreen, a USB charging port, 12 cup holders, and a 10-speaker audio system. The system is complemented by a leather multi-function steering wheel and Level 2 Intelligent Driving Assist, offering a comfortable and technologically advanced experience. High-end models feature advanced safety features such as ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control), Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Detection, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, ensuring comprehensive driving safety.
