The 20th KKBOX Charts will feature 23 musicians and groups from home and abroad, including AKASAKI, Meixiu Group, Ting Dang, Chen Hua, Landy Wen, Lollipop, Mango Jump, MARZ0, Nine One One, OSN, Ozone, Patrick Brasca, SUPER JUNIOR-D&E, SUPER JUNIOR-LSS, Tanya Chua, Him Lam, W18LF(S), and Huang Weijin. The performances will be broadcast through KKBOX's official YouTube channel and Facebook fan page, as well as platforms including PTS, ETtoday, LINE TODAY, TVBS, Chunghwa Telecom MOD, and Chunghwa Telecom Hami Video.
In addition to announcing the 20th KKBOX Chart, KKBOX also stated that since its founding in Taiwan in 2005, it has become the world's first legal streaming music platform, and has accumulated over 5000 billion listens to date, and has also reached the milestone of nearly 2006 million playlists. The KKBOX Chart, which has been held since XNUMX, has also accumulated over XNUMX million views.

Segmentation and more diverse music styles will become the future trend
After more than 20 years of development, Ye Zhanyun, General Manager of KKBOX and the Asia-Pacific Division of Keke Technology, said that KKBOX currently adds an average of 7 to 8 songs every day, and in the past two years, it has added more than 2800 million songs each year. At the same time, the cumulative number of albums sold has increased by more than 85 times, showing that with the continuous advancement of technology, the music industry is still thriving, and the time listeners spend listening to songs has doubled. The number of unique songs requested per week has more than doubled, and the number of artist songs requested per week has more than doubled. Most songs have broken through geographical restrictions and are popular in different countries and regions.
In addition, under this wave of digital music development trend, the Chinese music market has also shown significant growth, including an increase of more than 1410 times in the number of singles, more than 45 times in the number of albums, more than 1110 times in the number of single releases, and more than 30 times in the number of album releases.

As for the active short video market in recent years, KKBOX has also observed that the average length of popular music songs in previous years is less than 4 minutes, and this has driven the number of on-demand music songs that appear in short video content. For example, TikTok has successfully driven the number of plays on the US Billboard Hot Songs, and many songs that appear in Chinese short videos have also become popular on-demand tracks on KKBOX.
Regarding the future development trend of digital music, Ye Zhanyun believes that segmentation and more diverse music styles will become the future trend. He also expects that more songs will be produced at a faster pace and quickly spread through online social networks, thereby doubling the listening time of the songs.
We have observed a trend towards content creation using artificial intelligence, but at this stage, we are still focusing on complying with Taiwan's current regulations.
However, in recent years, artificial intelligence technology has been creating more and more content, and it has gradually become a creative tool in the future. Even the U.S. Copyright Office recently adjusted its view and agreed that artificial intelligence-generated content adjusted by human instructions can be protected by copyright law. Ye Zhanyun said that KKBOX will still comply with local laws in Taiwan at this stage. At the same time, because the content provided by current partners will also be reviewed first, it is expected that content created with the assistance of artificial intelligence technology will not be popular on the KKBOX service platform in the short term.
However, Ye Zhanyun also said that the trend of using artificial intelligence to assist creation is expected to become mainstream in the future. Therefore, KKBOX has already observed this phenomenon and may make corresponding adjustments in the future.
Regarding the lossless audio service currently being promoted by KKBOX, Ye Zhanyun explained that the service will use the original highest sound quality provided by partners, but will not use artificial intelligence or other technologies to enhance the sound quality. Therefore, if the original sound quality provided by the partner is only up to HD specifications, it will not be upgraded to a higher sound quality specification through additional technology to ensure that the content is presented with more realistic sound quality.
