The 2026 Taipei Game Show (TGS) will be held from January 29th to February 1st at Hall 1 of the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. This year's event is larger than ever, bringing together 399 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions, and utilizing both the 1st and 4th floors of the exhibition area. Over 500 games are expected to be showcased, including early access to over 100 unreleased titles. The organizers are also offering fantastic prizes in a lucky draw, with players having the chance to win prizes such as a Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World console bundle, a PlayStation 5 (Slim) digital version, and Steam Deck items.
Strong lineup of home console and PC titles
This year's player zone boasts a truly impressive lineup. Nintendo, a participant for the fourth consecutive year, has expanded its booth, bringing not only hands-on experiences with games like Kirby's Skypiea and Mario Kart World, but also "Nintendo Today!" and character meet-and-greets.
Several major publishers also showcased demos of their unreleased titles:
• Justdan:The exhibition features "Resident Evil Requiem", "Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twin Dragons of Destiny", "PRAGMATA", and "Super Danganronpa 2x2".
• Bandai Namco Entertainment Taiwan:Released titles such as "Code Vein II", "Elden Ring Faded Edition", and "Dragon Quest VII Reimagined".
• Koei Tecmo:They bring the new title Nioh 3, the world's first open demo of Dynasty Warriors 2 with Xtreme Legends Remastered, and Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly Remake.
• Cloud Leopard Entertainment:The exhibition will feature works such as "Trails in the Sky the 1st", and FALCOM President Toshihiro Kondo will also be present.
• Cygames:They bring you Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond and Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising.
Popular mobile games and indie games flourish.
The mobile gaming section is equally exciting, with HoYoverse's *Zero Zone* hosting a stage event, while *Arknights: End of the World*, *Girls' Frontline 2: Exile*, *Azur Lane*, and *Blue Starfield: Ballad*, making its physical debut, will all offer playable demos. Furthermore, popular titles such as *Victory Goddess: Niki*, *Fate/Grand Order (Traditional Chinese Version)*, and *Ragnarok Online: World Tour* will also be available to players.
The indie game section "Indie House" is sponsored by Smilegate STOVE and brings together 191 teams from around the world, including the popular Taiwanese game "Legend of the Living Swordsman" and the latest works from well-known overseas publishers such as Pocketpair and PLAYISM.
The business district expanded the event, with APGS focusing on AI issues.
The B2B Business District and the Asia Pacific Games Summit (APGS) have been expanded and moved to Zone I on the first floor this year. The Business District attracted 101 companies from 16 countries, including Xsolla, AppsFlyer, and Softstar Entertainment.
APGS will feature two main stages: "MAIN STAGE" and "AI STAGE," covering topics such as game development, marketing, and the most talked-about generative AI. The speaker lineup includes Masato Yagi, Director of SQUARE ENIX; Yoshiki Kitamura, Senior Executive of GRAVITY; and technical experts from NVIDIA and AWS, who will delve into how AI is changing the landscape of game development.
