The 2025 Tokyo Game Show (TGS 2025) will take place in September. The Computer Entertainment Association of Japan (CESA) today (July 2025th) officially announced the exhibitor lineup and scale of this year's event, confirming it will be the largest ever. It is expected to be one of the most anticipated events in the global gaming industry this year.
According to official announcements, as of July 7th, a total of 8 companies from 46 countries and regions have confirmed their participation, including 772 from Japan and 473 from overseas. The total number of booths has reached 299, far exceeding last year's final tally of 4083 and setting a new record. This not only highlights the global gaming industry's resurgence, but also reflects the continued internationalization of gaming conventions.
This year's Tokyo Game Show, like previous years, is expected to feature a rich selection of gaming content spanning consoles, smartphones, and PC platforms, as well as emerging application areas such as esports, AR/VR experiences, and blockchain gaming. Beyond the game content itself, the venue will also showcase a wide variety of gaming hardware, professional gaming furniture, and enterprise-focused game development, publishing, and business solutions, fully showcasing the diverse landscape of the current gaming industry.
In addition to the consumer-oriented B2C exhibition content, this year we will also expand the B2B business negotiation space to attract more global game developers, publishers, hardware manufacturers, platform providers and related service providers to contact us. We look forward to expanding cooperation opportunities during the Tokyo Game Show and accelerating the layout of cooperation in the global game market.
The full list of participating works, booth details for each manufacturer, and the schedule of on-site activities will be officially announced on the opening day, September 9th. It is expected that there will be numerous new game announcements, trial activities, and esports events, which will become the focus of industry and players.
