In addition to revealing on Twitter that Tesla plans to launch the light truck (Pickup Truck) "Cybertruck" in November,May not be suitable for everyone, and even said that the appearance is closer to the futuristic armored transport vehicle. Tesla CEO Elon Musk also said that he has investedDesign of an automatic wiper system called "Deep Rain", using artificial intelligence to make the wipers on the car operate more efficiently.
It sounds like a joke, but Tesla models launched after 2018 have actually adopted a similar design. However, unlike other car manufacturers that use sensors to determine whether it is raining and then activate the vehicle's wiper system, Tesla uses a camera to capture images for recognition and judgment, thereby causing the wipers to activate.
However, many Tesla owners have complained about the inability of image recognition to accurately identify vehicles. Elon Musk's announcement of an automatic wiper system called "Deep Rain" suggests he hopes to further improve the efficiency of wipers on Tesla models.
Deep Rain™️ neural net coming soon. We're not trademarking any other Autopilot neural nets, just this one, because rain is deep.

The reason for insisting on using artificial intelligence to activate the wiper system is partly related to Tesla's automatic driving assistance system Autopilot. It will be able to use the newly improved deep neural network learning method to more accurately determine the correct time to activate the wipers and the appropriate operating speed. In this way, the vehicle's camera system can maintain clear image recognition effects while also allowing the driver to maintain sufficient road space. When the automatic driving system makes an abnormal judgment, it can judge the road conditions ahead as quickly as possible and take over the driving work.
In order to make the wiper system operate more efficiently, Tesla is apparently preparing to create a new wiper system operation design, which will replace the traditional mechanical structure with a magnetic pole repulsion method, reducing the proportion of the mechanical actuation structure of the wiper system. At the same time, it can also drive the wipers faster through magnetic pole repulsion, and also reduce the wear of wiper parts due to frequent operation.
Tesla has not yet disclosed when the new wiper system will be applied to the current models, but the wiper operation mode calculated by the new "Deep Rain" artificial intelligence may be updated via OTA in the near future, allowing the wiper system of existing models to operate more accurately.
