Like LG and Ericsson, which have already withdrawn from the exhibition, MediaTek also emphasized that it will showcase its 5G network application solutions through other means.
Prior to this, TCL also confirmed that it would cancel the press conference originally scheduled for MWC 2020, but would continue to participate in the MWC 2020 exhibition. Like other Chinese companies, it would reduce the number of employees in China participating in the event and instead have employees from Europe or other regions assist in the exhibition.
Additionally, reports indicate that Intel, which was originally scheduled to hold a press conference and exhibit related content during MWC 2020, has recently confirmed that it will cancel its participation, but has yet to issue an official statement. NTT (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone), which has previously participated in the event, also recently confirmed that it will cancel its participation.
