Taiwan Mobile, in partnership with Wistron, along with other industry players including Hwatron Networks, Lianqi Technology, Charming May, and Yunda Technology, is integrating and connecting 5G connectivity ecosystem resources to transform the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park into Taiwan's first world-class heritage smart park. The park will also introduce seven diverse 5G AIoT application services, making it Taiwan's first indoor and outdoor 5G private network converged technology application service site, and is expected to officially open in the second quarter of 2024.
The "Innovative Application Technology Services for Historic Sites" project, led by Taiwan Mobile, is taking place in the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park as a demonstration site. Leveraging Taiwan Mobile's 5G network resources, the project will collaborate with partners to establish a national 5G private network team, achieving one of the few successful demonstrations of 5G networking technology being used in smart historical sites worldwide.
By leveraging Taiwan Mobile's 5G private network and AIoT technology, innovative technology is being introduced into historical sites, achieving wireless network optimization technology for mixed outdoor and indoor environments. Through the high-speed, low-latency characteristics of Yunda Technology's 5G private network equipment, smoother smart application services and real-world experiences are provided.
Furthermore, through the 5G value-added energy management service, an energy management system has been introduced. By providing real-time and accurate access to the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park's power data, pain points such as delays in calculating power usage for each exhibition hall and labor management costs can be addressed. Furthermore, the digital full-scale combat situation management platform can connect data from the entire park's cameras, robots, BodyCam, AR navigation, smart advertising display systems, and other data, assisting park managers in improving the operational management efficiency of the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park through data-integrated monitoring and intelligent settings.
The smart technology application services provided by Wistron can not only be applied to various activities in the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, but also double the upgrade of the park's network applications and operational security management. The public will be able to experience the smart interactive exhibition environment created by 5G AIoT virtual and real technology, thereby enhancing the visitor experience.
Among them, "Smart Advertising Display and Multi-Language Real-Time Translation" can push interactive ads based on event times, support multi-language inquiries within the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, and provide real-time AI customer service in four languages. The park has also introduced a service-oriented "4G Mobile Multi-Function Robot," the first domestically developed robot to utilize a dedicated 5G frequency and network. It can interact with the public, provide guidance, perform real-time inspections, automatically avoid obstacles, and deliver tasks, among other functions.
As for the "AR Virtual and Real Character Interactive Real-Time Navigation Service", it uses AR technology to allow visitors to interact with Songshan Cultural and Creative Park's tour guide "Song Ya Sang" for a guided tour. The public can immediately receive guidance and directions throughout the park, including real-time information such as park traffic, road signs and exhibition content.
In addition, the "5G 360-degree panoramic/multi-view live broadcast system application" provides 360-degree streaming services without blind spots indoors and outdoors. It not only uses 5G real-time streaming to live broadcast, but also performs simultaneous computational splicing and fusion, making the performance mode more diverse.
Next, NTU will expand this experience to historical sites, cultural and creative parks, and venues across Taiwan to assist the digital transformation of the cultural and creative industry, integrating knowledge, software, and hardware equipment with a "5G private network system" to accelerate industry upgrades.
