Expectant mothers in Taipei will have more diverse transportation options for prenatal checkups and going out in the future. Uber announced today (January 28) that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Taipei City Government and officially joined the Taipei City Government's "Good Pregnancy 2U Ride Plan".
Starting March 3, 2026, eligible pregnant women will be able to redeem their subsidies for Uber ride coupons through the "Taipei Pass App," and use the coupons when booking a ride through the Uber App. This not only solves the inconvenience of traditional pre-booking, but also introduces diverse vehicle types such as "Baby Uber" equipped with child safety seats. The first 200 mothers to use this service will also receive additional discounts worth a total of thousands of NT dollars.

Taipei's "Good Pregnancy 2U" ride-hailing subsidy is very popular, and this collaboration with Uber will further digitize the process.
The process is simple: pregnant women who have completed the subsidy application can exchange their Pregnancy 2U e-ride credits for Uber ride vouchers at a 1:1 ratio in the "Taipei Pass App". Only one voucher can be redeemed per trip, with each voucher valued at NT$250 (excluding redemption fees).
Once redeemed, this discount can be directly deducted from the fare when booking a ride through the Uber App.
