Redmi announced the launch of its K90 series flagship smartphones, including the K90 Pro Max and the standard K90. The K90 Pro Max emphasizes "acoustics" as its biggest selling point, not only inviting artist Eason Chan to be its "Acoustic Ambassador," but also collaborating with Bose for the first time to integrate a dedicated 7W subwoofer on the back of the phone, paired with dual speakers at the top and bottom to create a 2.1-channel stereo system. The K90 Pro Max features a Bose subwoofer and a Real RGB OLED display panel. In terms of design, the K90 Pro Max's back cover echoes the Xiaomi 17 Pro, offering black and white versions with a standard glass material, as well as a "Denim Edition" with a vegan leather material that gives it a denim-like look. The phone weighs 218 grams and is only 7.9mm thick. Redmi emphasizes that the additional subwoofer opening does not affect its IP68 dust and water resistance rating. Regarding the screen, the K90 Pro Max uses the same 6.9-inch Real RGB OLED display panel as the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, with a resolution of 2608 x 1200. Redmi points out that because this new technology has a complete RGB sub-pixel arrangement and can emit light independently, it can effectively reduce pixel density loss, making its 420 PPI display density performance comparable to a 2K resolution display panel, but with potentially lower power consumption than a 1.5K resolution display panel.
