Nubia unveils its new flagship phone, the Z1.5 Ultra, featuring the world's first 70K resolution, true full-size, hole-free display.

Following the recent unveiling of the Red Magic 10 Pro series gaming phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, nubia has also announced the launch of its new flagship phone, the Z70 Ultra, in the Chinese market. In terms of hardware specifications, the Z70 Ultra features the world's first 1.5K resolution, true full-size, hole-free display with a pixel density of 430 PPI and a full-screen blue diamond pixel arrangement. It supports a 144Hz full-screen refresh rate and 2000 nits of peak brightness. It also features a new under-display camera design, paired with the UDC Ultra display chip for improved display quality in the area above the camera. In addition to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, it also features LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage, and the battery uses silicon carbon anode technology, providing a 6150mAh capacity to meet the needs of extended use. The camera system features a fourth-generation custom optical lens with a 35mm focal length, paired with a variable aperture of f/1.59 to f/4.0. It boasts the ability to mimic the eye's imaging process, resulting in more vivid colors and realistic bokeh. It also features blue-coated glass and an infrared light filter for more accurate color calibration. Like other brands, nubia has included a physical mechanical shutter button on the Z70 Ultra, with a dual-stroke design. A long press quickly activates the camera, while a half press focuses the image, and a full press takes the picture. Other features include IP68/69 dust and water resistance, NFC sensing interaction, and infrared functionality. The new Nebula AIOS operating system features a more intuitive interface and includes AI translation and two-way satellite communication for calls and messaging. In terms of suggested retail price, the Z70 Ultra will be sold starting at RMB 4599, and will be available in two colors: Black Seal (black) and Amber (gold). In addition, a Starry Sky Collector's Edition with a six-layer optical process and micro-etching will also be available. The Z70 Ultra is expected to be launched in the global market on November 26.

While ASUS announced its ROG Phone 9 series gaming phones, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, and even showcased the device when Qualcomm officially unveiled it, Nubia preemptively announced the Red Magic 10 Pro series in China, becoming the first gaming phone to launch with this processor. Like other early adopters of the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the Red Magic 10 Pro series retains the design of its predecessor, featuring RGB lighting effects and a transparent back cover to embody its esports style. The screen is a 6.85-inch, 1.5K resolution AMOLED display panel from BOE, supporting a 144Hz refresh rate and a maximum 960Hz full-area touch sampling rate, with a peak brightness of 2000 nits. In addition, the Red Magic 10 Pro series also features dual front speakers, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and infrared control functionality. It also includes side-mounted control buttons with a 520Hz touch response rate for both sides, and the screen supports optical in-display fingerprint unlocking and a 16MP in-display camera. The differences between the Red Magic 10 Pro and Red Magic 10 Pro series lie in their configurations: the Red Magic 10 Pro offers 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage, with a 6500mAh battery and 80W wired fast charging. The Red Magic 10 Pro+, on the other hand, features 16GB or 24GB of RAM, 512GB or 1TB of storage, a 7050mAh battery, and 120W wired fast charging. Regarding improved gaming performance, the Red Magic 10 Pro series features a self-developed Red Core R3 chip, optimized for 200 popular games to deliver better frame rates and overall performance. The phone also boasts a cooling fan that spins at up to 23000 RPM, combined with a composite liquid metal cooling material for enhanced heat dissipation. As for the main camera specifications, both phones feature a 50MP wide-angle lens and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Additionally, a three-microphone audio system is included to meet the needs of game streaming and online communication. In terms of other features, the Red Magic 10 Pro series incorporates BYD's digital car key functionality and allows for customization of the side buttons to quickly launch the camera. The dedicated gaming button can also be customized for quick access to functions such as camera, flashlight, recording, and translation. It also includes the Red Magic Cube AI 2.0, providing screen content recognition, AI image expansion, and AI notepad functions. Furthermore, it can analyze game outcomes and respond in conversations, while further enhancing the virtual assistant AI, Magic Girl. It can even connect to virtual reality headsets via the Gravity Platform 2.0 design, play cloud-streamed games, and connect to external accessories such as mice and keyboards. The Red Magic 10 Pro series will start at RMB 4999. A limited edition, "Legend of Gold," crafted with a gold finish and sapphire crystal, and featuring a special gold-plated VC heat sink, is also available for RMB 9699, offering only 24GB of memory and 1TB of storage. The Red Magic 10 Pro series will first go on sale in the Chinese market starting today, and will then be launched in the international market on December 18.
