Huawei unveils the new Mate 70 series, including the Mate 70 RS Ultimate Design model.
As previously announced, Huawei officially unveiled its new Mate 70 series today (November 26th), including the standard Mate 70, the upgraded Mate 70 Pro, and the higher-end Mate 70 Pro+. A new Mate 70 RS ULTIMATE DESIGN model was also introduced. In terms of appearance, the Mate 70 series is very similar to the Honor X60 series launched by Honor in October. The standard and Pro models are available in Obsidian Black, Snow White, Spruce Green, and Hyacinth Purple, while the Pro+ model offers Ink Black, Feather White, Gold Silk Silver (Gray), and Flying Blue. The Gold Silk Silver model features a nylon fiber material, providing five times the impact resistance of ordinary glass. In addition, Huawei also launched the ULTIMATE DESIGN model in the Mate 70 series, named Mate 70 RS, available in three colors: Black, White, and Red. It features 16GB of RAM and offers 512GB and 1TB of storage. To cater to those wanting to experience the next version of HarmonyOS, Huawei also offers HarmonyOS NEXT Pioneer Edition in the Mate 70 Pro, with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. However, Huawei has retained the HarmonyOS operating system, which is compatible with Android apps, in these new phones. All models in the Mate 70 series feature IP68/69 water and dust resistance, and all use side-mounted fingerprint recognition.
