Mafia: Homeland launches globally, taking players back to the world of 1900s Sicilian gangs
2K Games and Hangar 13 announced that the latest installment in the Mafia series, Mafia: The Old Country, officially launches globally today (August 8th) on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). The game takes players to a meticulously recreated early 20th-century Sicily to explore the origins of the rise of a powerful criminal organization. A launch trailer has also been released, giving players a sneak peek at the game's gangster atmosphere and the stunning scenery of Sicily. Players will take on the role of Enzo Favara, an indentured laborer who spent a difficult childhood in a sulfur mine. The game features third-person action-adventure gameplay, coupled with detailed visuals, vivid character portrayals, and the series' acclaimed realistic style, creating a highly immersive experience. Hangar 13 President Nick Baynes stated that the team, drawing on 22 years of experience developing the Mafia series, continues to focus on combining the charm of story, characters, and environments, hoping the new title will appeal to both veteran players and newcomers. The game is available in two versions: a standard edition and a digital deluxe edition: • The standard edition is priced at NT$1490 and includes the full game. • The digital deluxe edition is priced at NT$1790 and includes the full game, plus in-game bonuses such as the "Godfather Pack" and "Black Cat Pack," including exclusive weapons, costumes, vehicles, and charms, as well as a digital soundtrack and art book.
