After acquiring RED, Nikon announced the launch of the Z CINEMA series of professional movie cameras, the first to use the Nikon Z mount.
Following its acquisition of RED, a professional cinematic equipment manufacturer, last year to expand its presence in the professional film market, Nikon recently launched two new Z CINEMA series professional cinema cameras under the RED brand, both using the Nikon Z mount: the V-RAPTOR Z Mount and the KOMODO-X Z Mount. They also released the Nikkor Z 28-135mm f/4 PZ power zoom lens for film shooting. Both cameras use the Nikon Z mount and can natively use lenses compatible with the Nikon Z mount, or use Nikon F-series lenses via adapters. They can also be used with the "RED Z to PL Adapter Pack" and "RED Z to PL with Electronic ND Adapter Pack" adapter modules to use commonly used PL mount lenses.
