Electrolux launches a dedicated air purifier for pet families, solving the dual problems of loose hair and odor
As the proportion of pet-owning households in Taiwan continues to rise, air quality issues arising from cohabitation between humans and pets are receiving increasing attention. Recognizing this demand, Swedish home appliance brand Electrolux has launched the "Electrolux 500 Pet Allergy-Resistant Air Purifier" in Taiwan, specifically designed for pet-owning families. Through a specially designed five-stage filtration system, it claims to capture 96.5% of airborne pet hair within 30 minutes of activation in pet mode, and effectively removes over 99% of cat and dog dander and six common odor gases. This air purifier is specifically designed for pet-owning families, using a 0.27mm pet-specific filter with electrostatic pores. The Velcro design allows for easy removal and washing, and it is reusable. It also features a honeycomb granular structure with double activated carbon, quickly adsorbing ammonia, sulfur dioxide, and other common pet-related odor gases. In addition to the filter design, the unit features a 3cm ultra-low ground air intake and a 360° circular suction design, effectively capturing allergens brought in by pets on the ground. With a CASR value of 7.04, it can quickly purify a 16-ping (approximately 11 square meters) space, ensuring air quality in every corner. Electrolux has also incorporated several user-friendly designs for enhanced user experience, including a sleep mode with a minimum operating noise level of only 20dB, a safety lock to prevent accidental activation by pets, and support for remote control and scheduling via an app, allowing owners to monitor home air quality at any time. The Electrolux Extreme Home 500 Pet Allergy-Resistant Air Purifier has a suggested retail price of NT$14900 and is expected to be available in Taiwan starting in November.
