Statistics from market research firm Counterpoint顯示, the United States has now become the world's second largest electric vehicle market after China.
Statistics from the first quarter of 2023 show that electric vehicle sales in the U.S. market grew by as much as 79%, surpassing Germany to become the world's second largest electric vehicle market. This was due to the electric vehicle tax incentives issued by the U.S. government, which in turn stimulated electric vehicle sales.
The most popular electric vehicle brand is Tesla, accounting for 62.72%, followed by General Motors at 7.62%, and Volkswagen at 6.31%. The best-selling hybrid vehicle is Stellantis, accounting for 43.85%, followed by BMW at 16.11%, and Toyota at 15.38%.
The most popular electric vehicles were the Tesla Model Y, followed by the Model 3, the Chevrolet Bolt EUV, the Volkswagen ID.4, and the Chevrolet Bolt. The top-selling hybrid vehicle was the Jeep Wrangler, followed by the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Toyota RAV4, BMW X5, and Chrysler Pacifica.
