Spotify earlier changed its "Spotify for Podcasters" plan, which was originally focused on podcast audio content creation, to a plan that can also include audio and video content.Spotify for Creators, thereby expanding direct competition with YouTube services.

The content subscription feature will be available to content creators who upload at least two pieces of content within 60 days and have accumulated at least 2 unique listeners. Spotify Clips, currently in beta testing, is expected to be officially available in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia in January of next year.
