According to reports, Apple is currently training the Siri digital assistant service through a large-scale natural language model to enable a more natural artificial intelligence interaction experience, which will be announced as early as next year's WWDC 2024.
Like other companies in the industry, Apple will also place more emphasis on device-side computing applications in the future to achieve faster service response efficiency while ensuring user privacy and security.
While Apple has previously remained mum on whether it's investing in generative AI technology, many of its services utilize deep learning and other technologies, enabling users to find emails more quickly or quickly locate the right photo through facial and scene recognition. In a previous statement, Apple CEO Tim Cook also expressed interest in AI applications, leading to speculation that the company may incorporate numerous AI features into its upcoming products.
Currently, Apple is led by John Giannandrea, a senior vice president who previously worked at Google, to develop technical applications such as deep learning. It is expected that Siri will have a user experience closer to real-life interaction. It is also expected that more artificial intelligence functions will be integrated into the iOS 18 operating system.
