Following the announcement of the launch in the first half offlagship phone Xperia 1 VIIAfterwards, Sony announced the launch of a new generation of mid-range modelsXperia 10 VII, continuing its positioning of lightweight body and long battery life, this time it has made significant adjustments to the appearance design, adopting a new horizontal camera design, and introducing Google Gemini for the first time, using AI to enhance the camera, search and personalized experience.
Design and feel
Xperia 10 VII維持配備6.1吋OLED螢幕，顯示比例也跟進當前的Xperia 1採用19.5:9顯示比例，比起原先採21:9顯示比例設計讓螢幕寬幅稍微增加，並且提供更具延伸視覺效果的內容觀看體驗，本身也跟進支援120Hz畫面更新率顯示規格。
The body weighs only 168 grams, making it a very light 5G connected mobile phone. It is available in three colors: graphite black, snowflake white, and turquoise blue. The back adopts the "Clear Back" concept design, which presents a neat feeling through larger color blocks and simple lines.
On the other hand, the Xperia 10 VII has also changed its previous vertical arrangement of the main camera lens module design and adjusted it to a horizontal arrangement design similar to the current Pixel series models. This is mainly to match the "Clear Back" concept design, allowing the back of the body to be presented in a larger area, thereby highlighting its design elements.
Furthermore, the Xperia 10 VII features a flagship model’s first independent physical camera shutter button, making it easy for users to quickly launch the camera and shoot. The button also perfectly aligns with the natural thumb position when holding the phone upright with one hand, making it easy for users to open and operate the camera functions with one hand.
Sony has also launched a new anti-yellowing transparent case and gradient color protective case to match the Xperia 10 VII. The transparent and gradient design allows users to place personalized decorative stickers, small cards, and Polaroid photos on the back of the phone. It can even cater to the needs of many Taiwanese users who are accustomed to placing temple peace cards on the inside of the phone case (?), thereby creating more personalized style for the phone.
Hardware specifications
The Xperia 10 VII is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor, 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage capacity. It can expand its storage capacity up to 2TB via a micro SD memory card, supports dual 5G nano SIM card slots, and can still remove SIM cards with bare hands. It also retains the 3.5mm headphone jack design. The body also provides IP65/IP68 waterproof and dustproof, dual front speakers, and the front screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 tempered glass.
Other features include support for 360 Reality Audio, DSEE digital audio restoration technology, and stable Bluetooth connection. The battery capacity is 5000mAh, which is claimed to provide 2 days of normal use and up to 4 years of battery health. It also maintains an 18W wired fast charging design.
Camera Enhancement
相機部分，Xperia 10 VII採雙鏡頭主相機設計，分別搭載16mm焦段、f/2.4光圈、1/3吋感光元件與1300萬畫素 (實際取1200萬畫素)的超廣角鏡頭，搭配對應24mm/48mm焦段、f/1.9光圈、1/1.56吋感光元件，本身採4800萬畫素、以像素合併為1200萬畫素成像的廣角鏡頭，而視訊鏡頭則維持採用800萬畫素、對應f/2.0光圈。
The camera function incorporates numerous AI-powered features, including AI scene recognition, nine filter styles, and Magic Photo Retouch and Magic Eraser, developed in collaboration with Google. The camera interface also features intuitive controls, such as a long press on the shutter button to switch to video recording, and a button that acts as a screenshot during normal browsing, preventing accidental presses when the phone's screen is locked.
