Compared to the previous statement by Sony Pictures Chairman and CEO Tony Vinciquerrawill notFollowing the market trend of prioritizing online streaming services for film content, Sony Pictures has clearly made adjustments in response to the pandemic, judging by its licensing agreement with Netflix. However, as this licensing agreement is for use within the United States, Sony Pictures can maintain its existing policy of showing new films in theaters elsewhere.
According to Sony Pictures, the films licensed for use in this collaboration will include its Spider-Man series, as well as content such as Venom, Jumanji, and Bad Boys. In addition, Sony Pictures' past films will also be broadcast on Netflix through this authorization.
