The flagship phone unveiled this timeXperia 1 IIBased on this, Sony Mobile President Mitsuya Kishida revealed that the flagship phone Xperia PRO, which is currently under development, will support both sub-6GHz and millimeter wave 5G network technology specifications, emphasizing that it will be able to achieve a complete 5G dual-mode network experience.
According to Sony Mobile, Xperia PRO will be the official name of this phone, but the specific details are still in the development and design stage. It is only confirmed that the phone will be based on Xperia 1 II and aim to achieve a complete 5G dual-mode networking experience.
Among them, Xperia PRO will use Sony's special four-directional antenna technology and low-permittivity materials to make millimeter wave connections more stable, and provide analysis functions for 5G network connection direction, data reception, and transmission status, allowing users to use this phone as an image transmission device to confirm data transmission status in real time.
To address the potential temperature rise associated with high-speed 5G network transmission, the Xperia PRO utilizes a unique Sony-designed heat dissipation structure to maintain stable and optimized data transmission, thereby supporting longer data transmission needs. Furthermore, via direct HDMI connection, the Xperia PRO can be directly connected to digital SLRs and professional cameras, enabling real-time shooting and transmission over the 5G network.
Sony Mobile has not yet disclosed the specific details of Xperia PRO, and more information is expected to be announced later.
Judging from the appearance of the images released so far, although the Xperia Pro adopts the basic design of the Xperia 1 II, the bezel is obviously much thicker, and the words Xperia Pro are also printed on the side (the PRO part is specially printed in gold).
The side also uses a fingerprint reader integrated with the recovery and power buttons, just like the Xperia 1 II, and an additional set of buttons is added to the camera shutter button. According to Sony Mobile, this provides customizable function settings.
As for the main camera on the back, it is expected to adopt the same lens specifications as the Xperia 1 II, and will also be equipped with T* coated lenses in cooperation with Zeiss.
