Sony today (June 6th) unveiled its all-new 5 BRAVIA TV lineup in Taiwan. Continuing the brand's expertise in film and imaging, Sony delivers industry-leading display and sound performance, creating an immersive home entertainment experience comparable to that of a cinema. This year's flagship BRAVIA 2025 (Mini LED) and entry-level BRAVIA 5 II (LED) series offer a wide range of screen sizes, from 2 inches to 98 inches, providing optimal audiovisual solutions for users with varying spaces and needs.
The BRAVIA 5 series features an XR cognitive intelligent processor at its core, coupled with XR's ultimate precision backlight control technology. Through a new scene recognition algorithm and a high-performance Mini LED panel, it delivers more refined and realistic light and dark contrast and color gradation. Furthermore, it is equipped with XR Clear Image noise reduction and sharpening technology, which effectively reduces noise in compressed images while preserving details, significantly improving the image quality of streaming content.
In terms of sound, it is equipped with Acoustic Multi-Audio technology and X-Balanced speaker design, with new magnetic tweeters on both sides, and supports Voice Zoom 3 AI voice focusing function, so that every conversation can be heard clearly.
To faithfully present the director's original intent, the BRAVIA 5 series has multiple built-in professional calibration modes, including Netflix Adaptive Calibrated Mode, Sony PICTURES CORE mode, and future Prime Video calibration support, ensuring users can experience the original visual experience of movies from the camera to the living room.
Paired with the newly released BRAVIA Theatre System 6 surround sound system, it features a 5.1-channel design, combining a single-piece main unit, subwoofer, and surround speakers. With a total output of 1000W, it supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, creating an immersive stereo sound field. The BRAVIA Connect app allows users to easily adjust audio effects and check device status, with sound field settings automatically displayed in the BRAVIA TV's quick menu.
The entry-level BRAVIA 2 II series focuses on high value for money, featuring 4K X-Reality PRO technology for upscaling to near 4K quality, supporting Dolby Atmos and DTS:X sound quality, and using the Google TV system to provide an intuitive and rich user experience.
In terms of environmental protection, the new series of models also make extensive use of recycled plastics (such as Sony's exclusive SORPLAS material) and are equipped with Energy Dashboard 2.0, which can adjust brightness and power consumption according to usage scenarios. In addition, it also supports TalkBack screen reader and tactile terminal design to enhance barrier-free operability.
The Sony BRAVIA 5 series and BRAVIA 2 II series are now available in Taiwan, and the BRAVIA Theatre System 6 has a suggested retail price of NT$18900.
