The body is slightly larger than the α6600, but the overall weight is reduced by about 10 grams. It is equipped with an OLED electronic viewfinder with a 236 million-dot XGA resolution design. The body touch screen adopts a side-opening flip design, and the battery is also replaced with a new version of Z-shaped battery, so it can correspond to longer battery life.
The button layout has been redesigned, and a new touch-enabled setup interface has been added, allowing users to operate camera functions more conveniently and intuitively. The camera itself also supports USB-C PD charging and is compatible with UHS-II memory cards. It also provides connections for an external microphone and headphone.
α6700單機身將以1399美元價格銷售，搭配16-50mm變焦鏡頭的組合則以1499美元價格銷售，搭配18-135mm變焦鏡頭的組合售價則是1699美元，並且從即日起開放預定，預計會在8月初開始出貨。
The α6700 will be available for pre-order in Hong Kong starting July 7th, with a suggested retail price of HK$13 for the body only and HK$11490 for the camera with an 18-135mm zoom lens. A Taiwanese market release will also be announced soon, but pricing has not yet been announced.
