In order to attract more people to use PlayStation platform services, Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE)AnnounceA rewards program called PlayStation Stars will be launched, which will allow players to register for free and is expected to go online this year.
According to the instructions, the PlayStation Stars rewards program works by players registering for free and completing designated tasks, such as logging in every month and playing any game to get rewards, or winning in designated activities, obtaining designated trophies, etc., to obtain corresponding rewards, including rewards that can be used to redeem PlayStation Network e-wallet prepaid amounts, and activity reward points in the PlayStation Store, allowing players to redeem game content on the PlayStation Store.
In addition, Sony Interactive Entertainment also announced that it will launch a digital collectibles reward project, which will include characters from classic games and Sony's game devices released over the years presented in digital form, allowing players to collect them. Specific details will be announced later.
The plan is currently being previewed through testing and is expected to be rolled out in specific regions in phases.
Sony Interactive Entertainment's launch of this plan is obviously similar to services such as Microsoft Rewards provided by Microsoft in the Microsoft Store and Xbox Live, and Google's Play Points promoted in the Google Play Store. All of them hope to increase user stickiness and make more services widely available.
